Abstract
Recently, a Iymphcma-like disorder consisting of Iymphadenopathy associated with
hepatosplenomegaly and immunologic abnormalities, such as dysgammaglobulinemia of
hemolytic anemia, has been described as immunoblastic Iymphadenopathy or angioim-
munoblastic Iymphadenopathy. An abnormal immune reaction by dysfunction of T
Iymphocytes has been considered as possible pathogenetic pathways. Although the
possibility of development of several autoimmuune disease associated with
angioimmunoblastic Iymphadenopathy have been suggested, it was rare events.
The authors experienced a case of systemic lumpus erythematosus associated with
angioimmunoblastic Iymphadenopathy in twenty five years old female patient. She was
diagnosed as angioimmunoblastic Iymphadenopathy in February 1983. In May 1984, a
butterfly skin rash was developed in the face. An ANA test was positive in peripheral
staining pattern. Immunofluorescence study for skin biopsy material revealed moderate
intense linear deposition of IgA, IgM and C3 in epidermo-dermal junction.
She was diagnosed as systemic lupus erythematosus.
